ABOUT

Oregon to Idaho

Since 1856

In the 1840’s The McKay family crossed the ocean in search for the new America. They landed in New York not long after the family headed westward on the Oregon Trail. The McKay Family was one of six immigrant family’s to first settle in St. Paul, Oregon. James McKay and his wife bought the mill and surrounding acres. In 1856 they homesteaded and began farming. Since then the homestead has continuously been farmed by the McKay family for over 6 generations. Today the farm is over a 160 years old and is still owned and operated by the McKay Family. After growing Hops in Oregon for many years the McKay’s expanded their Hop Farm into Idaho where all of their Hops are produced today.
